Welcome to the first issue of Sunday, the Monthly Metro Sessions Music Zine. Sunday will bring together art and music made by those in our community of more than 300 creatives, then send it to you in a unique, limited release of a hand-printed zine and a 7″ flexi with an original track for your record collection. The zine project is entirely non-profit: Sales of the zine will be used to pay the artists who are included and to pay for our monthly first Sunday party, which you are invited to!
Our first issue will include work by Fototeca, a group of artists who have been putting on shows at The Blvd in Boyle Heights for over a year now. Featuring work by Christopher Zelaya, Sherlan Abesamis, and more, this issue will also feature an original track by IllGill on a 7″ flexi. Only 500 copies will be printed, so pre-order yours now!

For nearly 7 years, Metro Sessions has hosted a livestream party every first Sunday. When it was smaller, we did the show in our tiny apartment in East Hollywood, but since 2021, the party has outgrown our space and moved around Los Angeles record stores, private venues, clothing stores, and more. We want to create a daytime event that is open to families, low-cost, and full of unique activities such as speed dating, record fairs, open turntables, and more, but doing so has gotten a bit expensive! Hence, we bring you Sunday, a limited release art and music piece that you can enjoy and help contribute to your cause. Not to mention, it serves as your ticket to the party!
