The Mixer @ Turntable Tuesday: 5:30 Workshops
Come early to Turntable Tuesday for our new weekly workshop series called The Mixer. Join DJ Luigi and other DJs to learn and share new skills, as well as record vinyl for our growing record pool! Our August calendar is ready to go — just bring yourself and your records or laptop and jump in. BIG THANK YOU to DJ Luigi for building this great idea with Metro Sessions!
8/6 GETTING STARTED – For people who have never touched turntables. We’ll start by turning it on & work from there.
8/13 BLENDING BASICS – A collaborative workshop for learning about beat-matching & effects. Come learn or share a skill!
8/20 SERATO BASICS – DJ Luigi will be showing people how to get started with Serato & inviting experienced DJs to share tips.
8/27 RECORD POOLING – We will have 2 setups that will allow people to digitize their records & share the songs via a new record pool.

Turntable Tuesday comes to The Offbeat Bar in Highland Park every Tuesday from 6-9 PM PST (before karaoke with Ricardo.) First come, first serve & sign ups start at 6 PM! Questions? Hit us up!

Tofu Tuesday with the Unnamed Tofu Project
Feb 20th at 7 PM
We are so excited to bring our special guest George Stiffman to Turntable Tuesday! Author of the tofu cookbook Broken Cuisine, George has a ton of unique tofu dishes to share. Most Americans mistake tofu to be just a pasty white block – but there are actually 27 other types! George will share his favorites this Tuesday via Chinese-style charcoal BBQ. No tacos, but open turntables and karaoke are still on!
Speed Dating for Music Lovers
Every few months, we host speed dating during Turntable Tuesday, sometimes with the social pros, The Next Fun Thing. Open turntables, tacos, and karaoke are still part of the speed dating tonight, and you’re encouraged to bring dating songs. 🙂 Want to keep up with speed dating events? Trivia Tuesday! Summer Music Trivia + Open Turntables
Do you know music? Are you the type of person who can identify any song playing in a convenience store? Do you get excited when you see the nominees for the Grammy Awards or the lineups for summer music festivals? If so, we would love to see your knowledge in action!
During the summer, we’ll host summer music trivia on the back patio after the sun goes down.
